• Eddy Becking, MD, DDS, PhD, FEBOMFS, works as a consultant Oral and
• Maxillofacial surgeon in the VU university medical centre in Amsterdam and the
• Kennemer Gasthuis in Haarlem
• He graduated from Dental School in 1986 in Groningen, from Medical School in Amsterdam in 1996 (Free University)
• He was trained in OMFS 1988-1992 the Free University medical center, Amsterdam
• (prof.dr. W.A.M. van der Kwast)
• His PhD thesis in 1998 was on orthognathic surgery.
• He is involved in education and training in both facilities. His clinical and scientific interests are: Congenital deformities, craniofacial reconstruction and
• orthognathic surgery, resulting in several papers and numerous lectures
