• He worked as assistant of the Clinic for Anesthesia and Intensive Care, Alfried Krupp Hospital between 1985 and 1987
• In the years 1988 and 1992 he was assistant of the ENT Clinic – plastic surgery Alfried Krupp Hospital
• He became medical specialist of Otorhinolaryngology in 1992
• Head of the section of Facial Plastic Surgery and Interventional Sleep Medicine at the Alfried Krupp Hospital and is since 2007
• Head of the ENT department, facial plastic surgery and operative sleep medicine at the Clinic St. Antonius in Wuppertal
• Dr. Hohenhorst is member of numerous scientific societies
• Clinical and scientific focus sleep related breathing disorders since 1989
• Presentation of numerous national und international lectures and courses (SRBD)
• Investigator and principal investigator in feasibility and pivotal clinical studies
